Virginia Louise

Growing up in a small town outside Austin, Texas, Virginia Louise found her voice like many young southern musicians—by singing the national anthem at local rodeos. With Fleetwood Mac playing from her mom’s speakers and Etta James on repeat in her childhood home, Virginia was drawn early to the power of strong female voices. Her southern rock roots and Texas spirit led her to perform at open mics and dive bars across Austin, where she fell in love with the city’s rich music scene. At 17, she enrolled in The Recording Conservatory of Austin, earning her certification as an audio engineer by age 19. Skilled in mixing, mastering, recording, and producing, Virginia became a musical powerhouse with a sharp ear and strong artistic vision. During her time at the conservatory, she launched her first alt-rock band, Happy, Hollow, and began performing at iconic venues like Stubb’s, Barracuda, Cheer Up Charlies, and Mohawk. The project helped her cultivate a dynamic stage presence and authentic artistic voice. Virginia eventually took her solo work to Nashville, TN, immersing herself in the songwriting community and collaborating with other established writers. This journey sharpened her skills and shaped the stories in her upcoming debut EP—a collection of songs that trace her personal evolution from Austin to Nashville. Her writing explores themes of womanhood, love, heartbreak, and the courageous act of chasing bold dreams. Unlike her earlier singles, each with its own sound and feel, the EP reflects a unified and mature identity—proof that Virginia Louise has found both herself and her sound. The project is not just a debut but a full-circle moment born from years of growth, hustle, and self-discovery. With raw emotion and unmistakable authenticity, Virginia Louise is redefining what it means to be a woman in music—on her own terms.
