About Betty Rose and Her Band

Betty Rose is a singer, songwriter, and storyteller whose bluesy, folksy, sound is rooted in the magnolias and open fields of rural eastern North Carolina, but has the power and passion of early 70’s rock and roll. She is heavily inspired by the music from her hometown church, outlaw country, the songwriting poetry of Laurel Canyon, and the folk songs that were sung to her by her grandfather. Her vocal power and tone has been compared to the likes of Janis Joplin, and Susan Tedeschi.
