Mike Thomas

Mike Thomas’ music has been described as “the grit of Americana storytelling with the undeniable catchy groove of country radio” by The Boot. Known for his thoughtfuli lyrics and commanding voice, Thomas has received widespread praise from Americana Highways, Saving Country Music, The Bluegrass Situation, Glide Magazine, and more. His songwriting and sound have drawn comparisons to Rodney Crowell, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, and Townes Van Zandt, artists whose writing is raw, real, and rooted in place. That same spirit drives Thomas’ work, especially on the breakout single, “Hell in High Water,” which he wrote in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. Released quickly and without traditional promotion, the song went viral, amassing nearly 5 million streams in its first six months. His newest single “A Different Story,” is a gospel-tinged tribute to faith, redemption and perseverance. The single features the backing vocals of Joanna Cotten, and is currently performing well at country radio, averaging more than 300 spins per week at stations across the country. Thomas’ songs have also been featured in primetime programming on CBS and NBC.
