Pythagoras

Welcome to the musical universe of Pythagoras, a band that defies convention and embraces the infinite possibilities of sound! We have set out to weave a tapestry that blends bluegrass tradition with our own unique compositions. In the heart of Johnson City, Tennessee, a musical journey began in 2022 with the formation of our band, Pythagoras. Pythagoras was formed by friends with a shared passion for originality and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of musical expression. We are a group of musicians who hail from different corners of the musical universe, invested in the convergence of our diverse styles and influences. Each member brings a unique flavor to the mix, creating a sound that resonates with the experiences of our eclectic backgrounds. What sets Pythagoras apart is our dedication to crafting original material that reflects the essence of our individual and collective travels through the sonic landscapes. Our compositions are a testament to the evolving nature of bluegrass, a genre that has thrived on innovation since Bill Monroe and The Bluegrass Boys started performing in the 1940s. In the heart of our musical explorations lies a passion for arrangement. We sculpt and mold songs in new, fresh ways to always bring something new to the audience. Pythagoras is a celebration of music in all its forms. Our performances are a testament to the enduring power of bluegrass, a genre that continues to evolve and adapt while staying true to its roots. We’re here to share our love for music with audiences far and wide. Join us in this journey!
