My name is Mary Lou Lackey. I am a Christian folk artist and singer/songwriter. I play guitar, mandolin, and piano. My music has led me to many diverse places including: American Idol Hollywood Week, the Knights Theater in Charlotte, local festivals, churches, and restaurants. I love to play all genres of music and provide a pleasing array of songs for all audiences to enjoy.
I am originally from North Carolina, but moved to Nashville in 2024 to pursue a career in the music industry. Growing up, I was influenced by rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, pop, and CCM music, all of which I like to incorporate in my own songs and instrumentation. I’ve been writing and playing music since I was 8 years old and have much experience performing for a variety of venues and audiences.
