Ashley Chapman & The Strays is a Nashville-based band led by singer and drummer, Ashley Chapman, whose high-energy performances put rhythm front and center. Ashley played extensively in New York City and across the Northeast, performing both with her band and as a drummer for others, before making the move to Nashville. The band's name is a nod to the many stray animals Ashley rescued and re-homed in Nashville. Since performing the band, she has played at venues throughout the city.
