Anthony Michael

ANTHONY MICHAEL IS A CAPTIVATING SINGER/SONGWRITER AND MUSICIAN IN THE NASHVILLE MUSIC SCENE. Here's what some are saying about Anthony's albums and his live shows ““Anthony is an amazing Singer/Songwriter and Musician” — G. Love, Grammy Nominated Singer/Songwriter and frontman of G.Love & Special Sauce. “Sounds Great!... my favorite is “Fall Hard”. Well Done!” — Zach Gill, Pianist/Vocalist for Multi-Platinum singer Jack Johnson & ALO “Anthony sings his ass off!” — Erik Lutkins, Multi-Platinum & Grammy winning Recording Engineer for Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, & Sugarland When the 2020 global standstill halted tours and live performances, Anthony Michael took a chance at something great. After being on the road for ten plus years playing over 1,400 shows, he was now left with a new reality. No shows on the calendar for any foreseeable future. While musicians like him all around the world were starting to deal with the grips of this "new normal", he decided to reach out to his friend G.Love with an idea. The two artist who rose from urban Philadelphia roots, fused their songwriting talents in a pandemic lockdown collaboration. The result is Anthony Michael's upcoming 2023 album release Mental State -- an epic ten song co-written co-production which heavily features the Grammy-nominated artist G. Love. Recently released singles from the upcoming record include 'Ben & Jerry's', 'Mason Jar', and the latest 'Negative Vibes', which features G. Love on harmonica and background vocals along with Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals' world renowned percussionist, Leon Mobley. Mental State also features appearances by Grammy Award-winning saxophone virtuoso Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones) and drummer’s Adam Topol (Jack Johnson) and Jeffrey Clemens (G. Love & Special Sauce). With a layered approach to creativity, Anthony Michael has the genre-bending skills to expand his sound from roots, rock, and reggae to pieces of everything: soul, funk, folk, pop, and blues. His songs tap into the stripped-down emotions of everyday life that people connect with -- the joys, the lows, and the search for love. The result is an instantly catchy instrumentation punctuated by his carefree vocals, percussive guitar flavor, and casually spun lyrics, that have attracted the attention of acclaimed artists across genres. Anthony has performed for crowds of thousands alongside the star power of Keith Urban and Kenny Rogers and has opened for notable award-winning artists including G. Love, Lee Brice, Natalie Hemby (The Highwomen), Common Kings, Fortunate Youth, Dan Kelly (Fortunate Youth) & Zeb (Tribal Seeds), and The Elovaters to name a few.
