About

18-year-old Nashville-based guitarist and vocalist Danny Garwood is quickly establishing himself as an exciting young talent in contemporary blues-rock. With a high-energy live show, impressive guitar work, and a sound rooted in blues and rock, Danny has shared the stage with Buddy Guy and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, performed alongside Eric Gales, and supported artists including Mike Zito, Ally Venable and Mathias Lattin.

Starting at a young age, Danny Garwood has had a passion for the guitar, drawing early on inspiration from artists like Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer, and Jeff Healey. Based in Nashville, TN, his goal is to spread his love of music and pass it on towards generations to come. The journey began at the age of 10, when he attended his first jam session and was invited to play. This experience ignited a deep love for the guitar, leading to regular jam sessions and live performances. In 2022, Danny competed in the Dallas International Guitar Festival's '10 under 20' competition. During the festival, Ally Venable invited him on stage, resulting in a viral YouTube video with over 5 million views. This exposure led to opportunities to open for Ally numerous times, and opened many doors. Danny has had the honor of sharing the stage with Buddy Guy and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville during Buddy's Farewell Tour. He had the honor of beginning and hosting the annual Youth Blues Jam at Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, MS, and has now passed the torch to other young blues musicians. As of today Danny Garwood & Company, his band, has been playing shows all around the country, and is available for bookings.
