Ken Busby Jr. is a traditional country singer-songwriter from Oak Bowery, Alabama, whose music is rooted in faith, family, patriotism, and the timeless storytelling that built country music. Influenced by legends such as George Jones, Randy Travis, George Strait, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Alabama, Ken is committed to preserving the sound of "three chords and the truth." A proud U.S. Army veteran, Ken served with the 1st Infantry Division, including deployments to Iraq and Kosovo. His experiences in uniform continue to shape his songwriting, giving his music an authenticity that resonates with veterans, first responders, and anyone who appreciates honest, heartfelt stories. Away from the stage, he also serves his community as a volunteer firefighter. Ken's original songs range from deeply personal love songs to powerful tributes honoring America's veterans. His catalog includes Unworthy, a moving country gospel song, and Too Mean to Die, co-written with Bobby Tomberlin and inspired by the life of World War II veteran and D-Day survivor Jerry Hinton. His performances blend these originals with classic country favorites, creating shows that celebrate both the past and the future of traditional country music. Ken is a graduate of the Guitars for Vets Cyber Chapter, where he later facilitated songwriting classes through the Boots, Strings & Songs program. He was the first representative from Alabama selected for the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival, has been featured on Wreaths Across America Radio's Musicians Showcase, and participated in the Operation Combating Veteran Suicide National Songwriting Showcase in Nashville. Whether performing in intimate songwriter rounds, festivals, veteran events, or honky-tonks, Ken Busby Jr. delivers every song with sincerity, respect for the genre, and a passion for keeping traditional country music alive.
